A local Oak Cliff advocate for better bicycle infrastructure, Jonathan was one of the original Better Block’s community volunteers that helped put the design/build concept to work. He’s worked to get more bicycle infrastructure implemented on Dallas’ aging roadways, presiding as the first Dallas Bicycle Coalition president and board member of Bike Friendly Oak Cliff. He’s the business owner of Oak Cliff Cargo Bicycles and founder of the Bicycle Brewery Tour.
Before becoming a Project Manager for Team Better Block in September of 2016, he did a tour as a Business Development Volunteer in Peace Corps Ukraine in 2001 -2002. This was the seed that drove his passion for walkable streets and good public transit options for his own city.
Jonathan put his passions to work as a Program Coordinator for the North Texas Food Bank, an IT Consultant, and an IT Manager prior to Better Block. The Dallas Observer selected him as 20 of the metro area’s most interesting characters in 2015.
